A Note From Dr. Powell

Dr. Powell  Recent Recall Ruckus

The media has barraged the air waves with the recent Toyota recall fiasco.  First, it was sticking accelerators, then faulty brakes.  Toyota’s management initially waffled, but outside pressures forced Toyota, the world’s number one auto manufacturer to take responsibility for recalling all cars.  Product recall is nothing new, nor something to be shunned.

If designers, engineers, and others in industry are required to assume responsibility when products fail, why is it that those who teach are not held to a similar standard?  Educators teach concepts founded upon erroneous worldviews.  When Truth is removed from the classroom, even well meaning educators provide wrong answers to the most basic questions of life.  It’s time for educators to be called to account for what they say and do.  It’s time to recall students cheated by ineffectual instruction, before these faulty philosophies proliferate.

The kind of education children receive impacts the future.  A biblical education affects the quality of our culture, the influence of the church, the health of the family, and the strength of the economy of the nation.

At Master’s Academy, our mission is to teach God’s Word at the foundation of each subject.  As friends and supporters it is imperative to remain steadfast as we continue to partner with the family in shaping the future of America.  As we near the end of another school year, we pray your support remains strong.  Please share with your friends the ministry of Master’s Academy and invite them to the upcoming Open House on Tuesday, April 27th.
